We have produced an innovative community heat metering system for several houses feeding off of 1 or 2 boreholes with heat metering for Housing Associations and the like to make use of environmental energy and still saving on the resources from the earth.

Community Metered Heat

The thormec uk community metering manifold is designed to supply heat to multiple end users from the one pump installation. The heat pump supplies heat to a heat main and individual heat meters distribute heat to each end user via a distribution system. A management system has to be set up to run and bill the end users, and with our system this can be done by accessing the one plant area either by computer or manually and can be downloaded in Excell format.

Because of thormec’s unique design, you can be assured that if one of the end users encounters a problem, this will not have any bearing on the rest of the installation and any of the other users. Thormec uk manufacture each metering system to suit the required total and individual heat loads. The heat pumps can be sized accordingly and all connections and controls can be unified under one installation. We have the ability to design and manufacture each system bespoke to each individual project and work with developers and community associations to produce a system that will work, be cost effective and be reliable.
